Happy Tuesday from Jillibees Apiary. It’s feeding time. Feeding the new hives until they comb out all their brood box frames will insure good hive growth. Feed the bees and they’ll feed us!
April 14, 2019: We finally found a Queen!!!
After many inspections and always had an eye out in finding a queen, we finally did. She is always very elusive and with all the other bees, it is hard to find when you only have had bees for a short while. We always found eggs so we knew she was in the hive. We will get better at finding her.
April 14, 2019: Final hive install in our neighbors backyard.
We got the hives installed and he is excited about having bees in his backyard. He is anxious to learn and is looking forward to getting some honey.

We have a neighbor several block down from us who wants to have a couple of hives in his backyard. So we packed up our gear and headed down to install them.

This completes the amount hives we can have in our backyard according to the Florida Department of Agriculture.
