Jillibees Apiary – Saving Bees One Backyard at a Time

We believe that being a Backyard Beekeeper is one way to help save bees. Beekeeping involves having local raw honey, beeswax, and bees for sale. Additionally, here at Jillibees Apiary, we build custom Western Red Cedar hives and hive components. We inform others about the importance of bees and other pollinators. And finally, provide information and services to other backyard beekeepers to help their colonies stay healthy and thrive.

Being a backyard beekeeper is more than keeping honeybees. It is also having the awareness to help native bees to prosper. Beekeepers want people to become informed on the decline of Florida’s native bee population and how to save them. Our dedication is to ensure our native bees flourish. We appreciate those who follow along with us on our journey as beekeepers. We also appreciate the support in assisting Florida in saving all pollinators that are necessary for the food we eat and the environment we enjoy. As Beekeepers, Jillibees Apiary has a dedication to help others become beekeepers as well.

Stopped by during a vacation trip to FL. Wonderful people focused on producing pure honey while delivering true southern hospitality. As a new beekeeper from KY they took time to share their knowledge and tips to help me in the future. Thank you Brad and Jill! Plan to buy one of their beautiful hives asap.

I called to ask questions to help the bees in my area and the lady was so rude and stated saying I need a bigger property and that I need to take classes and this and that in a very hateful tone. That’s is why our bees are dying, because they make it so difficult to everyone and instead of helping with love and compassion for the bees they just treat you like you are stupid. We don’t need bigger properties to help the bees. I was on the lake the other day and saw a bee that was desperately swimming and I came and helped her out of the water, she rested on my kayak and then flew away safely. We help the bees wherever we are . That is why bees are dying bc there is no education, no help, no advertising, etc… there are more Round up commercials to kill what help the bees stay alive than commercials how to care for the bees. Awful awful customer service this farm lady has! Maybe she needs some education! Response to the owner: I didn’t get angry when Jill said I need some education or classes. I don’t mind taking some classes and get more education. That’s the reason I called. What upsets me is that she started asking questions how big my property was. That is none of your business ma’am. Your website says you are helping the bees one backyard at a time. Completely wrong, you gave me hard time for not having a big property. You were very rude and not friendly. I called another bee company and the gentleman was so friendly and educational that I am taking classes with him and becoming a bee keeper thanks to him. You really need to respect customers when they call asking for questions on how to help the bees. I can tell you don’t care about the bees at all.

I cannot express in words how wonderful and kind Jill and Brad Neal are and how generous they are as beekeepers. As a budding beekeeper aspiring to grow my own bee yard, Jill and Brad shared their love of beekeeping and some of the fundamentals in beekeeping. My wife and I were honored to have both these entrepreneurs share their knowledge and encourage us towards our goals. I highly recommend Jillies Bees Apiary to all those wanting to purchase excellent honey but also a great experience as well. They both enjoy talking bees and sharing their love of beekeeping care too. Thanks Jill and Brad for a great time and experience. We appreciate you both taking the time to share your love of beekeeping.

I’ve had Jillibees honey on hand in my pantry for a while now for my daughter. She doesn’t normally like honey but she loves Jillibees, so I’ve always left it for her. Well, this week my husband and I had a craving for tea and I wanted mine with honey so I stole some of hers and put it in my drink. I’m so glad I did because it is so, so good! I loved it!

Local Raw Wildflower Honey For Sale

Our Wildflower honey is pure, raw and unfiltered goodness. This local honey is available for pick up only. We sell by weight and not by fluid ounce. A fluid ounce of honey has a weight of about 1-1/2 ounces. We can only sell locally at this time. Our local raw honey jars are $10 – 1/2lb and $20 – 1lb.

Jillibees wildflower honey is produced and harvested from homeowner’s backyards within a 10 mile radius of our primary apiary in beautiful Belle Isle, Florida.  This makes our local raw honey really local and sourced from the Belle Isle, Pine Castle and Tangelo Park neighborhoods.

When you purchase our local raw honey, you are joining Jillibees and contributing to helping educate others on importance of bees, saving bees and maintaining their colonies to ensure their healthy and thriving existence.

The western red cedar beehives and components we build are custom and completely assembled for each customer. We finish these with three coats of tung oil. Applying tung oil is the longest process as we need at least 24 hours between coats. The cedar hives do not come with frames or foundation. We recommend Mann Lake or Dadant for additional hive supplies. Once the order has been confirmed, please allow four to six weeks for delivery.

For shipping, we would need your zip code or full address to determine shipping costs. We request payment once we are ready to ship. We accept online payments using PayPal, Zelle, Venmo and CashApp.  We also accept major credit cards.  A 3% service charge will be added if using a credit card, PayPal or CashApp for payment.   If ordering hives, let us know by using the “Contact Us” page and we will contact you.

Beeswax And Beeswax Candles

Our beeswax and beeswax candles are 100% pure. The comb is scraped of the frames and place in a bowl. The bowl has a hole in the bottom that is stuffed with cheesecloth. The bowl is then place in a solar or electric melter and melts the comb at 150-160 degrees. The wax melts filtering through the cheesecloth to a silicone container at the bottom of the melter. When the wax hardens, we break the bar in to chunks and melt the wax again and put into wax or candle molds.

The wax is a $1.00 ounce. Small candles are $5.00 and the large are $10.00.

Use the website to contact us or call (407) 459-4497 to purchase beeswax or candles.

Nucs for Sale & Beehive Services

We do have bee nucs for sale and provide beehive services to assist local beekeepers.

Bee Nucs for Sale

We have Nucs for sale for $225.00. Our bees are “home grown” right here in Central Florida. We affectionately call them Florida mutts. Jillibees started with Italians, but cannot control what type of drone will mate with the queens. We ensure they are docile and thriving before we ever sell them to a customer.

Quantities and the time of year can limit availability for our Nucs. We create Nucs starting in late February when we start seeing drones in our hives. The first Nucs of the year are usually not ready until the end of April. However, we can place you on a waiting list until we have more available. We will notify you when the Nuc is ready for pick up. Once you have been notified, you have 24 hours to respond or we will notify the next person on our list that a Nuc is available.

Contact us on our website or call us (407) 459-4497 and let us know if you are interested in being placed on a waiting list.
