What’s Happening at Jillibees

We attempt to create nucs up to November and start again in February. When creating a nuc, it takes about two months before it can be sold. We are a small Apiary and do what we can to assist new and seasoned beekeepers with bees.

We have created fifteen nucs so far this year. Six have been sold with eight people still on our waiting list. We had three nucs turn in to “drone” layers and are not viable to sell. An additional three were required to strengthen our apiary. The last three have just been created and should be ready in June. More will come through November as we do our hive inspections.

Honey Harvest is starting. We pulled 48 lbs from two hives. Still waiting on 16 hives to cap almost 400 lbs of honey. We are currently contacting all who were on our list for honey. In a few more weeks, we should have honey available for everyone.
