Posted on May 17, 2018April 8, 2019May 17, 2018: Adding our first bee nucleus Our first colony Jill picked up our Bee Nuc. A Nuc is a starter colony consisting of 4-5 frames of bees, brood and honey in a cardboard box. Each frame is added to the new hive, with additional empty frames to create the new colony.
